As part of its ongoing Competitiveness Conversation Series, the Massachusetts Competitive Partnership (MACP) convened leaders from across the state’s innovation ecosystem to explore how Massachusetts can better support Entrepreneurial Support Organizations (ESOs)—including incubators, accelerators, and innovation hubs—and the startups they serve.

The event marks the release of a new MACP report outlining recommendations to strengthen the state’s ESO network and ensure Massachusetts remains a top destination for entrepreneurial activity.

Massachusetts Secretary of Economic Development Yvonne Hao joined Senator Barry Finegold and Representative Carole Fiola—Chairs of the Joint Committee on Emerging Technologies—for a panel discussion moderated by MACP CEO Jay Ash on how state government is working to foster entrepreneurship and economic growth.

The event also featured a panel of ESO leaders, including Ben Sosne (Berkshire Innovation Center), Gaby King Morse (Center for Women & Enterprise), and Jamey Tesler (Mass Mobility Hub), as well as a panel of entrepreneurs who have worked with ESOs, including Madeline Cabrera (Emmaty, Inc.), Simon Zhang (REON Technology), and Jared Lebos (Noble Carbon).
